Your Best Laid Plans

08/18/2023

There is something that feels good about having a plan.

With a plan, you know what to do and most times have an idea of how to get it accomplished. Having a plan is like having a map - you know where to go.

It’s important to remember that sometimes we make plans that don’t always come into fruition. Case in point: There  was a time where I was working on something big - something big of the time - for my Team Beachbody business. I was excited about what I was doing, really looking forward to creating this and watching the results unfold.  It was supposed to be really positive.  It was supposed to be something that would bless a whole lot of people.

Unfortunately, several things happened where I could not get things done. The plans that I was excited about were not about to come to fruition because I was spending my time doing work for somebody else. That was (and still is) a problem for me. I have always been the "go-to chick", always helping others instead of doing the things necessary for me or even doing something good for myself.  Frustration set in quickly. All of the plans that I had been working, all of the things that I have been doing, all of the big goals that I had been pushing for, had to stop in mid-tracks because of me.

Just like they say: the best laid plans, don’t always come to fruition.

But let me tell you something: Don’t be frustrated because your plans never came to fruition.

That means that there’s something better for you to do. The plans you set for yourself didn’t happen  because of the fact that they did not need to happen. (Yes, there’s the plans that failed because you didn’t stay accountable, but that’s a whole email for another day.)

What are you to do?

Keep Moving Forward.

That was one of the best parts of the 2007 Disney movie "Meet the Robinsons". You have to keep on going with what you believe should be done, where to go next, and who you need to take with you.  Keep moving forward and make different plans. Make better plans. It’s OK to make twists and turns and even do a 180 sometimes, but never, ever, EVER stop moving.

Today, you and I should work on our plans and make those plans great. Go for them in a big way.

I know that you can because I’m going to do the same.

My plan is to continue helping you win with BODi and also open up my own online courses to help you. I’ll be sharing one of those online courses during Labor Day weekend, so be planning to see one of my courses being made available during that time.

Labor Day weekend 2023 - go and mark your calendar.

In the meantime, if you need a plan to help you achieve your health and fitness goals, reach out to me and let’s Design Your Next Health Chapter together.
