Fill-ins Are NOT Enough Anymore

06/18/2023

Every time I drove home, Monday through Friday, I had to deal with them.

Sometimes I am able to swerve into the other lane and avoid them, but there are times that I had no choice.

They can mess up your car, cause unnecessary accidents, and frustrate the mess out of me (and other folks).

I cannot stand potholes in the road.

And do you know what is WORSE than a pothole?

The weak, crumbly junk that they use to fill them in! It doesn't help whatsoever. When it is run over enough times by car tires, then it will pop right out of the pothole and the problem comes right back. The only way to get rid of potholes is to scrape up the road and cover with new tar. It will last a LOT longer.

Now before you start agreeing with me, hang on - things are about to get real....

You do realize that we have some gaping potholes in our lives that we are trying our best to fill up with that weak crud, right??

Think about it for a moment:

  • We justify having dessert every single night while our clothes get tighter. (Pothole.)
  • We wake up too late to get a good workout in. (Pothole.)
  • We stress ourselves out and skyrocket our blood pressure, sometimes for no reason at all. (Pothole.)
  • We don't hold ourselves accountable to the same things we fuss at other people about. (Pothole.)

I could go on with so many more, but you already know the story.

Then we try to mask these issues and fill them in, but that's not enough anymore.

What we need to do to fix our own potholes is to "scrape the road" and do something totally different than before. I am excited that you are starting the road scraping process and tossing that filler stuff where it belongs - right in the dumpster.

To start over with the "fresh tar", you need to take a look at http://itsclarissa.me/bod and see what is your best fit. I'm cheering you on.
